Our Story
From Overwhelmed Parents to Hope-Filled Coaches
Here's how we got here. We thought we were ready for parenting. After losing our first three children, God called us on the journey to adoption.
In order to complete our international adoption, we were required to take 80 hours of training. As avid readers and learners, we went above and beyond, completing about 160 hours. We were ready for this parenting journey!
But alas, we were faced with the reality that the theory wasn't landing in our home. We were struggling with huge meltdowns, sleepless nights, and the toll of exhaustion was straining our relationship. We started becoming angry and desperate.
We wanted to do the best for our kids, yet we were falling short.
We knew there had to be a way. In our discouragement, we continued looking for answers. We prayed and took just about every course and attended every parenting conference we found promising.
We learned about neuroscience, trauma, and attachment. We collected incredibly helpful knowledge and practical strategies. And still, something was missing!
One night, in the middle of our exhaustion, Luisa said, "We need to have someone take a look at our family and tell us HOW. How do we move forward? How can we connect with our kids, understand their misbehaviors, and get out of this cycle of discouragement? I am tired of reading books, listening to podcasts, and attending conferences, only to see no fruit in our home."
That’s when we made one of the best decisions we've ever made: we invested in one-on-one parent coaching.
We met over Zoom with our incredibly grace-filled and wise coach. During our sessions, we learned a framework that crystalized EVERYTHING we had learned and gave it a place and order.
